One of the first additions to her Sayulita collection, this piece was created before the artist had aquired a work lamp or table. Dessie began carving this piece during the early afternoon against a plastic stool outside her apartment, and thirteen hours later completed it, squinting heavily beneath an outdoor hallway light surrounded by frenzied flying insects. It has since become an icon for her collection, its image often accompanying the Violent Hippie Leaf Art logo.
