The outline of this leaf suggested to the artist that there was a mythical beast hidden within, that defied the small confines of its borders. With a few carefully placed slices, the features of the leaf and the vision in the artist’s mind combined harmoniously to create a winged dragon perched on a rock and about to take flight. The original for this piece was destroyed, leaving only a picture behind, until now.
